Sessions & Times

Here at Kentstown Montessori School there are 2 sessions per day.

School opens at 8.30am each morning.

MORNING SESSION

Monday to Friday - 9.00am – 12.00noon

AFTERNOON SESSION

Monday to Thursday - 1.00pm – 4.00pm

BEFORE/AFTERSCHOOL CARE

Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm

“When will my child be ready to start in Kentstown Montessori School?”

Most children are ready for their first experience away from home without Mum or Dad between 2½ and 3. It really depends on each child, and it is something you should discuss with me, Caroline.

You are interested in your child starting school because you sense it is the right time, perhaps your child’s need to explore new horizons with new friends at school. Whilst part-time sessions are available for 2½ year olds, I strongly recommend that children progress to 5 sessions a week either by their 3rd / 4th birthday. By being with us every day, they truly settle in, become integrated with the rest of the group and become familiar with our daily routines.

Because learning is relaxed and fun, we have many 2½ year olds happily enjoying coming to school every day. The best thing to do if you are unsure is to arrange a visit to the school with your child and have a chat with the staff.
